About

Artist's Statement:
I draw inspiration from my surroundings, from the people around me,
and from a deep and profound consciousness of history that reaches
back to the primordial. Rich, vivid colors convey the passion for life
that surges from our hearts. Pre-Colombian symbols connect us to
our past and our destiny. Humor is essential for social survival in the
face of adversity. Art is holistic, bigger than life, something of the
past, the present and beyond. It's cosmic cool. Art is a process -- the
invention of myth in the space of contemporary times. These are the
forces, spirits and energy I paint into my work.
